Dominika Borovansky received both her Bachelor and Master of Fine Arts from Arizona State University. She received the College of Fine Arts Distinguished Teaching Assistant Award and is also the National Dance Association's Most Outstanding Graduate student from ASU's Department of Dance for 1995. Between her undergraduate and graduate degrees Dominika worked extensively in New York City at the Paul Taylor School and has received scholarships to study at the Martha Graham Studio and with Bella Lewitzky. During that time she also returned to her birthplace of Prague, Czechoslovakia where for 16 months she performed and taught professionally.
Ms. Borovansky has extensive experience teaching and choreographing in the Phoenix area. She is currently a Faculty Associate in the ASU Department of Dance and is also training dancers at Ballet Etudes' Phoenix School of Ballet. Dominika will be assuming the department chair position in the Dance Department at Scottsdale Community College for the 1996 Spring semester.
Dominika's choreographies have been showcased on the ASU campus as well as at the American College Dance Festival, Arizona Dance Arts Alliance, San Tan Festival, and has been commissioned by several local high school dance programs.
